2010 Executive Board

	Lalena Luna - President Lalena is excited to serve as President for 2010. She joined the New Castle Jaycees in September 2007 looking to network with other young professionals and help organize community events. She quickly became an active member, volunteering and coordinating major events such as the Foster Care Association Holiday Party, the 50th Anniversary Party, the first ever Charity Date Auction and even performing in the "Jaycee Idol" at the National Convention in San Diego. This year Lalena looks forward to "Reaching New Heights Together" and helping members develop themselves further professionally and personally, as well as taking the New Castle Jaycees to the next level.  Lalena is a Program Coordinator in the Univ. of Delaware's Activities & Programs Office. She also works as a Dancer/Emcee for corporate events, mitzvahs and high school functions, plans and hosts local nightlife events, serves as Events Chair on the New Castle Alumni Board of UD, and enjoys modeling, dancing, singing, traveling, and entertaining friends. 	Melissa Miller - Individual Development VP Melissa joined the New Castle Jaycees in August 2009 in order to accelerate her volunteer efforts. She began helping out with the Casino night at the Senior Center and became more involved with the coordination efforts for the Foster Care Holiday Party. There are many more events she would like to see and hopes that you can be a part of that. As Individual Development VP Melissa is excited to increase the chapter's personal and professional development.  When Melissa is not wearing her engineering hat she's dancing, writing, painting, helping others, or doing a myriad of things. She may always be on the move, but she's always interested in what you have to say.
	Deborah McDaniel - Community Development VP Deborah has been a member of the New Castle Jaycees since December 2007 and will be serving as our Community Development Vice President for 2010. Her goal this year is to help increase membership and to recruit volunteers for community service events. Professionally, Deborah works for the Bank of America in the wellness center. In her spare time, Deborah enjoys playing basketball, tennis, and bowling. She also likes hanging out with friends and going to the movies. In addition, Deborah is an active member with the Special Olympics and has been participating in the Annual Polar Bear Plunge for the past 10 years.
	Robert Chessick - Chapter Management VP Bob is excited to be the Chapter Management Vice President for 2010! He originally joined the Jaycees in 2008 looking to meet new people his age and network for his business. He is a self-employed as an incorporator and registered agent,helping people open their own businesses. In the past he was a civil engineer and worked for DelDOT and several private companies. Bob has returned to the University of Delaware pursuing an accounting degree and a CPA license in the hopes of expanding my business. Just this January he married Cyndi, who has become a Jaycee herself. Bob enjoys traveling and taking advantage of every opportunity he gets to go somewhere new, even if it’s just a random road trip to a new restaurant.
	Michael Jewell - Treasurer Michael joined the Jaycees in March 2009 to meet more young professionals and get more involved in the community. He is a Mortgage Broker from Wilmington who enjoys photography, traveling, dining out, watching his favorite sports teams, playing on a local dodgeball team, and spending time with friends.
	Eric Norimatsu - Secretary Eric joined the Jaycees in October 2009 to provide volunteer assistance to the community and network with great people.He achieved the Jaycees of the month award in November and has volunteered at major events such as: the Foster Care Holiday Party, Sojourner's Thanksgiving dinner, and the Charity Date Auction. Eric is looking forward to serving as Secretary for the New Castle Jaycees, which requires great attention to detail similar to his position as an Operations Support Representative in Quality Control & Inspection at HSBC bank. Eric enjoys bowling, music, movies, attending parties with friends, assisting friends with tasks, social networking, playing RPGs, karaoke, band games, and working with computers.
	Dominic Hanna - Local Director Dominic Hanna joined the Jaycees in March 2009 to volunteer for various charities and to expand his network contacts for his business. Dominic works as a local photographer with a specialty in editorial and commercial works. He also goes to school at Wilmington University, where he expects to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Media Design this year. During his spare time he enjoys traveling, music, riding his motorcycle and playing lacrosse.
	Jerry Cheng - Local Director Dominic Hanna joined the Jaycees in March 2009 to volunteer for various charities and to expand his network contacts for his business. Dominic works as a local photographer with a specialty in editorial and commercial works. He also goes to school at Wilmington University, where he expects to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Media Design this year. During his spare time he enjoys traveling, music, riding his motorcycle and playing lacrosse.
	Melissa Coffield - Local Director Melissa joined the Jaycees in March 2009 looking to meet new people and volunteer in her community. Since then she has been instrumental in helping to organize two pilot projects-a Singles Mixer, and a Charity Date Auction. Melissa works as a Private Investigator, and in her spare time enjoys playing dodgeball, spending time with her friends, watching UFC and traveling.
	Jeff Taylor - Webmaster Jeff has been a member of the New Castle Jaycees since 2006. Joining to assist in the many volunteer activities andopportunities that the  Jaycees offers, he has also developed his leadership skills by serving as Treasurer of the Delaware Jaycees in 2008. In 2009, Jeff served as Treasurer for the New Castle Jaycees, a natural fit as he is employed as an Accountant with the State of New Jersey. He enjoys traveling with his wife Nicole, along with watching the 2008 World Champion Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers.
	Hannah Messner - Chairman of the Board  Hannah serves as 2010 Chairman of the Board for the New Castle Jaycees.  Having served as President in 2009, Hannah automatically steps into the role of Chairman. She is looking forward to providing behind the scenes guidance to the board as needed, and continuing to help plan various exciting events the Jaycees sponsors. Hannah graduated from the University of Delware with a Bachelors in Political Science/Criminal Justice and a Masters in Public Administration. She currently works for the State of Delaware as well as part time with the YMCA. In her spare time Hannah enjoys working out, playing tennis, skiing, and traveling.
