Separation Day - Join the New Castle Jaycees as we help volunteer throughout the day at Separation Day. This event is a birthday celebration of Delaware’s “separation” from England and Pennsylvania. Various events include a parade starting at 11am in New Castle. Battery Park festivities include the beautiful baby contest, magic show, reenactments, non profit info booths, rides, all day bands, children’s activities, food, evening concerts, and Fireworks. Volunteers are needed to help plan for the event, as well as during Separation Day itself. Contact Jessica Loveland @ communityvp@newcastlejaycees.org for more information and to volunteer.

Blue and Gold Game - Every year the various Delaware Jaycees chapters help run the concession stands at the game. We need as many volunteers as possible to help feed the fans! The Blue-Gold game showcases Delaware’s finest high school students who participate as football players, cheerleaders, band members and school ambassadors. It is also a fundraiser for DFRC, a well-respected Delaware foundation dedicated to raising funds and consciousness in support of programs that enrich the lives of Delawareans with intellectual disabilities. Established in 1956, the private, nonprofit organization is dedicated to identifying and funding programs based on community need. To sign up to volunteer at the concession stand, please contact New Castle Jaycees President Jessica Snow at president@newcastlejaycees.org.
