RULES & PROCEDURES

I. SINGLES MIXER FOR ADULTS 22-40
If you’re single, then you don’t want to miss the event of the summer!
There will be fun ice breakers for everyone, special ice breaker games for the brave, free appetizers, drink specials, and incredible raffle prizes. The more people you talk to, the more chances you’ll have at winning prizes and possibly finding that special someone.
II. HOW IT WORKS
REGISTER:
STEP ONE is to register for the Singles Mixer event by visiting our website at www.newcastlejaycees.org. Fill out the Registration Form and select payment method (PayPal or Check).
STEP TWO is to fill out the Questionnaire. This will incorporated into one of our ice breaker games.
STEP THREE is to submit your completed Registration Form and Questionnaire to newcastlejaycees@gmail.com. Once we receive your Registration Form and Payment, we’ll send you an e-mail confirmation of your registration. Advanced registration ends Wed., Aug. 19th.

SIGN IN:
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the official start time to sign-in and mingle. We will begin promptly at 7:00pm.
THE WAITING LIST:
To ensure an even balance of men and women, if you do not sign in at least 10 minutes before the event starts, your spot will be given to the top name on the waiting list. If you are on the waiting list, we ask that you arrive 30-45 minutes before the start time and let us know that you are present. Keep your fingers crossed... a spot may open up for you. (We may also contact you before the event if we receive a cancellation.)
THE BIG EVENT!
At each event, there will be an equal number of men and women. We will provide an introductory ice breaker for everyone. We will also conduct ice breaker games (for the brave!) periodically throughout the night. Prizes will be awarded to those who participate in the ice breaker games.
To maximize your experience, we hold the events in private or semi-private areas at an upscale venue. We will give each participant a Welcome Pack, including a name tag (with your first name and last initial) and Match Card. A cash bar will be available for soft drinks or something stiffer (please drink responsibly).
At the start of the event, everyone puts on a nametag with only your first name and last initial. We will review the Ground Rules a few minutes before the start time.
You are more than welcome to share your phone number and/or e-mail address with people at the event, although it is not required. And for those who are shy, we will provide match cards for you to indicate privately who you would like to contact. At the end of the night, turn in your Match Card to the host.
The event itself will last for about two and a half hours. You are then welcome to stay and mingle for awhile, take the opportunity to meet other fabulous single young professionals who are there to meet others just like you, and learn more about the New Castle Jaycees!
IT'S A MATCH! (or two, or three, or more...)
After the event, we will compile the information from everyone’s Match Cards to determine who matches up. If two people mutually checked “YES,” then that's a match (odds are you'll have one or more matches). You'll receive a private e-mail within three days of the event listing the first names and e-mail addresses or phone numbers of the people you matched with. From there, it's up to you to contact one another to learn more about each other and set up another date.
